The Beverly Education Foundation would like to salute David S. Ferriero on his retirement at the head of the National Archives. During his visit to his alma mater, Beverly High School, Class of 1963, Mr Ferriero stressed the importance of maximizing public access to the Archives by embracing social media and encouraging public participation of citizen archivists. By increasing the American public’s accessibility to the past, the Archivist of these United States has also illuminated the pathway to the future.
