Beverly Education Foundation announces $15,000 to BHS 1:1 Laptop Program
The Beverly Education Foundation is pleased to announce it has made a $15,000 donation to support the 1:1 Laptop Learning Initiative at Beverly High School which provides every student with a laptop through a lease program. In 2010, Beverly High School was one of the first school districts in Massachusetts to implement a one to one learning initiative where all students would have access to a laptop regardless of financial resources.
$12,000 in grants awarded to Beverly Public Schools for 2018-2019
The Beverly Education Foundation announced its Annual Teacher Parent Grant Awards in June totaling $12,116. The Teacher Parent Grants benefit students, teachers for professional development and various educational programs in the Beverly Public Schools. The foundation supports the wonderfully creative ideas of Beverly educators which enhance teaching and learning in a 21st century global environment.
Annual Book Award Scholarships
The Foundation is honored to announce that the Annual Book Awards were handed out at the Beverly High School Scholarship Night in June to Oliver Gibson, who will be attending Duke University and Samantha Lake who will be attending Rochester Institute of Technology. The Beverly Education Foundation offers two $500 Book Awards each year to a female and male Beverly High School senior who are continuing their education at a college or university.
