Representatives from North Shore Bank recently met with members of the Beverly Education Foundation to present the organization with a $2,500 contribution. The bank’s donation will be used to support the Teacher-Parent Grants which are awarded each year in June. These competitive grants support innovative initiatives in teaching and learning that provide broad impact upon the school system and enrich students’ academic growth, as well as professional development to promote educational leadership, growth, and vibrancy of Beverly teachers and staff. Douglas Walker, the President and Co-Founder of the Beverly Education Foundation said of the bank’s donation:

“We are grateful for the support given to Beverly Education Foundation and for the support for teachers and quality education in Beverly.” He added, “North Shore Bank is a leader in the community and with their donation we will be able to help support our Beverly teachers and parents as they create wonderful new innovative educational opportunities for our children.”

The goal of the Beverly Education Foundation is to create incentives for teachers, parents and administrators to work together within the school building communities to keep education vital and creative through regular infusions of fresh ideas.
